If you are single and looking for meaningful relationships, Heartland Singles is just the place for you! Many singles around the area have found Heartland to be the best place to meet new friends, study the Bible, and find real meaning in life. You are not alone, but alive! We want you to feel a part of a strong network of friends that stick together and minister to each other in times of joy as well as in times of need. We strive to provide singles with a place where they can develop relationships with each other, grow in their walk with the Lord, and put their faith into action through Christ centered service. Our ministry exists to evangelize the lost, edify the saved, minister to those in need, and be a conscience to our community.
The mission of our ministry is to Embrace a caring community of Christ-like relationships, modeled with each person being sincere and genuinely affectionate toward others. It is also to Encourage singles to enter our doors into an inviting atmosphere where they can Enjoy deep fellowship with God and one another. The Heartland Singles’ Ministry is meeting the needs of singles in our community. No matter if this is a single who desires to serve Christ to further Kingdom purposes, a hurting single needing to feel the love and healing of God after a recent divorce, a single that needs financial, spiritual, or other counseling, meeting the entertainment needs of the single, and most importantly guiding, equipping, and training them toward spiritual maturity. Heartland Singles’ Ministry will be a Christ centered place catering to the singles’ needs. Simply stated, our vision is that we teach singles to Know God, to Love God, and to Share God in every aspect of their lives.
There are many opportunities to get involved in our singles’ ministry. We offer small group studies, three different Adult Bible Fellowship (Sunday School) classes, Divorce Care and Divorce Care for Kids, and Single Parenting Classes.
The Single Vision Bible Fellowship Class meets at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. This class is open to all singles or various ages. There are two other classes offered at the 11:00 a.m. Sunday School hour. One of these is a Women Of Faith Class taught by Cathy Travis and Linda Belt. The other class is the New Dimensions. This is an older single adult class taught by Roy Wikoff. Each of these classes has a full calendar of fun and meaningful activities that you can get immediately involved in, including trips, concerts, seminars, retreats, recreational activities, sports, parties, and much more.
Divorce Care is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. It’s a place where you can be around people who understand what you are feeling. It’s a place where you can hear valuable information about ways to heal from the hurt of divorce. Kids hurt too! Your children can also find help through Divorce Care for Kids. These classes are taught on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. here at Heartland Worship Center.
