As one becomes a part of the universal body of Christ, God’s plan for a Christian is to be identified with a local church setting. Throughout the New Testament it is clear God uses the local church to develop and mature Christians to receive full fellowship with Him, the gift of a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
If you are not a part of a local church, we strongly urge you to search out and find a good, bible believing church where the authority of God and His Word are preeminently respected. Find a church that allows you to worship, receive instruction, enjoy full fellowship, participate in evangelistic outreach and give you the opportunity to exercise your giftedness in some area of direct service.
To assist you in determining if Heartland is the place God would have you be, we invite you to participate in a one session class called Discovering the Family. This class is led by Senior Pastor Don Young, and Jerry Hoover, Minister for Member Relations. In this class, you will learn the following:
